Read your English newspaper while sipping sangria
Despite Sucina being a small village, there are enough shops to suit your day-to-day needs. The new supermarket stocks a fair amount on English goodies, so your only UK withdrawal symptoms should be alleviated (you certainly won't be missing the weather!). The tobacconist even carries English newspapers and magazines. You'll also find several banks a pharmacy.
The larger town of San Javier, which is only 12km away holds larger shops and more selection if you so desire. The large shopping complexes at Murcia and Cartagena are only 30- and 20-minute drives away. And if you feel so inclined, Alicante's posh shops and boutiques are only an hour jaunt up the coast (that's about the same time for a central London bus journey!).
Staying healthy
Spain's healthcare system is one of Europe's best. Most Spaniards can expect to see their GP within one day of booking.
Like the NHS, healthcare is free to all citizens. So visitors that bring their European Health Insurance Card or E111 can be assured of fast, free attention whenever it’s needed.
For minor complaints, Spanish pharmacies (Farmacias) are excellent and many medicines that require a prescription at home can be bought over the counter here. Look out for the flashing green cross outside the store.
For emergencies, the nearest hospital is only 12km away in San Javier.
For a healthier lifestyle, consider making Sucina your home. You can view excellent Sucina properties on this site or request a brochure.
